She started her career in 1997 as an active member of the first theatrical group at her High School, Santo Antonio, directed by Thais Garaípe, a recognized actress in her hometown. After that, she graduated from the Center of Theatrical studies in Acting and from the “Escola Livre de Cinema” in Cinema in Belo Horizonte. Following graduation, she started to work on stage and at the cinema industry in some local productions as an actress and a producer, among other positions. Her most important job at this time was for the play “The Enchanted Kingdom” directed by Cristiano Aguiar, where Daniela played 3 characters: Enchanted Fairy, Blue Parrot and the Ocelot, her first challenge as a younger actress.
For years she attended production, direction and acting workshops around Brazil, mainly in Film Festivals such as Tiradentes Film Festival, where she learned with such knowledgeable professionals as Roberto Bomtempo, Luiz Carlos Lacerda, Cleber Eduardo and Di Moretti.
In 2007, she decided to seek new challenges and move to Milan in Italy where she followed some independent theater companies and learned a lot about improvisation. She traveled around Italy, Spain, Switzerland and France to learn more about art, painters and history.
Back in Brazil, she moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2009 where she took programs in schools such as CAL-Casa de Artes de laranjeiras, O Tablado, Voice Over Brasil, Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim and Casa da Gávea. She then, studied with the respected Jacques Lagoa, David Grimberg, Daniel Herz, Fernando Caruso, Andre Mattos, Teresa Lampreia and Hamilton Vaz Pereira.
Daniela was hired as a producer by Verdesign Production Company, now Soul Films, and spent 2 years coordinating big productions for the cinema industry, music videos and TV channels such as OFF and Turner Latin America. At the same time that she worked as a voice over actress and as an actress in various performances, including some for Globo TV and Record TV. She also shot her first short movie named “Possession” and worked in some screenplays. In 2013, Daniela was invited to be part of the award-winning play “Vida de Busão não é Mole Não”, in her Hometown of Belo Horizonte, where she played 14 characters! At the end of that year, she decided to take another big step in her acting career and earned a scholarship to study in Vancouver, Canada.
In 2014, she moved to Vancouver and graduated in Acting for Film and TV from Vancouver Film School. At this time, she already has 17 short movies, 1 Indian Feature and 2 music videos in her North American Resume. She decided then, to acquire different skills, and joined to a makeup school from which she graduated at the end of 2015 as Fashion and Film Makeup designer by New Image College of Fine Arts. In this year she also worked as an actress in her second Indian music video, as a presenter at 3RA Web Channel and shot her second screenplay, the Short Film “Everything for Almost Nothing” which is running now in some Film Festivals.
Nowadays Daniela hosts a TV Show called “Where the Happiness lives” in SBT, one of the biggest TV Channels in Brazil and created the Youtube channel “Danivagueando” where she talks about the female Universe.
Besides the performance industry, Daniela also Graduated and post graduated in Law, finished her bachelors degree in 2004 and the Post graduation in Tax Law in 2013.
Daniela is driven, passionate and curious to discover how acting is viewed and made in different cultures. Immersed in her craft, she seeks to tell life-altering stories. Art is her driving force and her calling.
